MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - The Maintenance Supervisor (MS) is head of maintenance of the District and reports to the District Manager.  The MS oversees day to day maintenance operations and is responsible for supervising, training and directing maintenance staff.  The MS also hires and directs contractors in maintaining District infrastructure, buildings and ground maintenance, and equipment repair and maintenance as needed.  The MS is in charge of purchasing parts as needed for infrastructure repair and maintenance, meters and remote meter reading equipment, supplies, and obtaining maintenance agreements on District equipment.  The MS observes main repairs and installations, attends meetings with developers and contractors, reads and interprets plans and specifications, institutes changes to District Rules and Regulations, interacts with customers as necessary, makes decisions in emergency situations, is on call 24/7/365 for emergency situations, works with District Engineers providing necessary reports and information, and is familiar with procedures instituted by other government agencies.  Physical labor is required to perform duties of the position.  The candidate must have experience in the water and sanitation industry and a clean driving record.  A master plumber or journeyman plumber’s license is desired.  The candidate must be punctual and reliable and have a professional demeanor with office staff, vendors, contractors and customers.  Ability to use computers is desired.  The District provides competitive pay, medical and dental insurance, retirement, and paid time off.  Fill out the attached application and email to jobs@ccvwater.net.
